I can make one suggestion though. If you are taking cod liver oil for vitamin D, you could switch to vitamin D3 (not vitamin D2) tablets.

Comment on Why taking cod liver oil is not a good idea

Can cod liver oil cause hypothyroidism? Because both my child and I developed acute symptoms of hypothyroidism (enlarged thyroid, decreased heartrate, increase TSH blood levels) upon ingestion for a few days of cod liver oil. I am wondering if this is the causative factor, as I can't think of anything else "new" that could've caused it.

Comment on Does preventive care save money?

California will receive $118 million in federal funds to bolster its 2012 coverage of adults with pre-existing medical conditions.
The state-run, federally funded Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan, or PCIP, was created last year to insure the uninsurable – those who because of their medical conditions have been denied coverage by insurers or who have had to pay prohibitive insurance premiums to ensure they were covered.

Comment on Weight loss and exercise

It sounds faintly heretical, if not downright facetious. And it's a scientific discovery that most health professionals are, naturally, keen to downplay. After all, exercise is still good for us. It's just that, in defiance of decades of New Year resolutions, it's unlikely to make us slim.
